WHY MUTED?
Crippling anxiety ruled the life of our founder Moo from a young age. By the time she reached high school, she had only a few people that she could physically talk to (bless them, they were patient and worked hard to get there). You could say her anxiety left her Muted.

Custom cut-and-sew
Everything we make is custom. Most brands may buy blanks and get an image printed or buying pre-madeesigns. But our designer, Moo, customises every single detail to find the perfect fit.
Our pieces are designed to travel with you in life. We don’t do micro trends, or a shapeless blank with a mindless screen print.
Everything is intentional.
Imagery
Every collection starts with a defining challenge in mind. Leading to inspire the art drawn by Moo that captures a visual concept for the hardship. It is also especially important to create quotes that align, whilst still being broad enough that you can build your own meanings that help get you through the day.
Freebies
Every order includes stickers that match the collection and a print that is signed by Moo with a personalised message.
Moo's favourite art to create growing up jumped between realistic portraits and Surrealism (girl couldn't be on further ends of a stick haha!) Her surrealism really shows in these art prints she draws, using it to convey feelings from anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges. But there is also always a hidden positive "way out" if you look close enough.

Scanning it takes you to a secret page on our website detailing the inspiration behind each drawing in the collection. (and some bonus downloads).
We do share details on previous collections on the Vault page, but its different to those who hold the access code.
Fabrics
Our premium fabrics are soft to touch and comfortable all day long.
We use 100% cotton for our Caps and T-shirts.
But when it comes to the hoodies, we have two different fabrics, a 100% cotton Hoodie, and a cotton-poly blend Hoodie. Poly blends can get a bit of a bad rep, and you're right that some companies use the cheapest, nasty Polyester they can get their hands on, but there is higher quality Polys that have a purpose!
Our Cotton-poly is an intentional choice, the Poly blend hoodie has that super plush interior feel (thats the Poly part), where as the 100% cotton hoodies have a soft brushed French Terry finish, still soft to touch and suitable for warm-cool climates, where as the Cotton-Poly blend hoodie is by far the warmest hoodie Moo, and many people, who have given feedback, have ever worn!
XIE
Moo centred the first design of Muted around anxiety. Its subtle, a sub-plot. The hidden messages and phrases are broad enough to link your own meaning to it.
Everyone is different. Advice, support and recovery comes in different shapes and sizes.
The hoodie is to make your own.
Just because it is hidden doesn't mean its not there.
